If You Need Help, Ask for It

So many times we try to be strong and perfect, but we just can’t do it all by ourselves! Some people find it easy to ask for help, while others would rather soldier on alone (and sometimes even get irritated that no one offered to help). So if you find yourself struggling, ask for help. And be sure to accept help from others graciously (remember, just as you feel good when you help others, other people feel good when they can help you).

This is a hard one for me. I have always tried to be strong and independent, and I try to help others as much as possible. But, I will load myself down with 10 grocery bags rather than ask for help!! I don’t like to “impose” on others, but at the same time, I am depriving them of the good feeling that you get when you help someone else. I have gotten better at asking for help since I had children – it’s almost impossible to live without the help of others when you are a parent!
